New director of nursing at the Metropolitan Hospital of Santiago introduced

Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago presented the new Director of Nursing, Licda. María Victoria Rosario. Dr. Mirlán de los Santos, medical director and on behalf of the hospital administration, made the presentation.

In his remarks, Dr. de Los Santos valued this promotion positively and emphasized the importance of the work of nurses as specialized personnel, considering them to be fundamental pillars of the structure of the health service.

Maria Victoria Rosario thanked the vote of confidence in her work and then presented the management plan and announced the support network: Quality, Teaching and Research Sub-directorate; Care Commission and Clinical and Care Management Sub-directorate, to offer nursing care with efficiency, effectiveness and humanism, through qualified human resources that guarantee safety in patient care.

During the activity, the hospital also presented a special recognition to Ms. Mirope Guzmán, former director of nursing, thanking her for being part of HOMS for ten years without interruption, contributing to the development and growth of this department.

María Victoria Rosario graduated in Nursing in 2008 from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, with eighteen years of experience in different areas of nursing, including intensive care and cardiovascular care. At HOMS, she has also been deputy director of teaching and general management.

The event was attended by medical and administrative staff, specialists and members of the Nursing Department.
