The Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago and the Mount Sinai Medical Center of Miami signed a strategic alliance to strengthen their relationship for the benefit of Dominican users. Thanks to this fact, the comprehensive and multidisciplinary care that HOMS provides to its patients continues to be strengthened.

Dr. Rafael Sánchez Español, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HOMS, and Steven Sonenreich, President of Mount Sinai, agreed to strengthen some clinical educational and administrative services that will be outlined by both parties in a service plan that will be available to users in a short period of time.

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Miami is the largest private, freestanding, not-for-profit teaching hospital in South Florida.Over the years, Mount Sinai has gained the expertise, resources and services necessary to serve a growing population of people in need.

Dr. Rafael Sánchez Español emphasized the importance of this alliance with a leading medical center in cardiovascular services, oncological treatments and complex surgical procedures, as well as minimally invasive procedures.

Members of the HOMS board were present, as well as Dr. José de Jesús Álvarez Torres, Luis Núñez, Ricardo Fondeur, and teams from the Mount Sinai Medical Center of Miami.

The delegation toured the hospital facilities, where they visited the Cardiovascular Center, the Cancer Center, the Robotic Surgery Center, the Intensive Care Unit and the Imaging Department.
