Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago graduates new medical specialists

In a special ceremony, sixteen new specialists from the Medical Residency program of our hospital, endorsed by the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, were invested as part of the commemoration of the tenth anniversary. The specialty degrees obtained corresponded to the areas of Internal Medicine, General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Medical Imaging, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. The activity was headed by Dr. Estelio Arvelo, head of Medical Education; Dr. Mirlan De Los Santos, medical director; Dr. Héctor Sánchez Navarro, representative of the general management; Dr. José de Jesús Álvarez of the Board of Directors and Dr. José de Jesús Álvarez of the Board of Directors. Zunilda Núñez, director of medical research of the institution, accompanied by the coordinators of each specialty.

Within the vision of the Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago since its foundation in 2008, is the training of specialized medical resources and clinical research and within this concept in its ten years of existence has already trained seventy-one medical specialists in these different specialties contributing to provide a first class medical care for the benefit of the population of our region and the country, as highlighted by Dr. Sanchez Navarro.
