HOMS Foundation holds the ninth edition of the fashion show ″Vestidas para triunfar″ (Dressed to Succeed).

With the aim of raising the motivation and self-esteem of cancer patients and survivors, the ninth version of the “Dressed to Succeed” parade was held today, an event carried out by the Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago Foundation (HOMS), which year after year provides a space of joy to celebrate life through this event.

The welcoming remarks were made by Dr. Liliana Fernández, President of the HOMS Foundation, who said that this event seeks to highlight the hope and strength that patients have when going through this process, so that it seeks to celebrate life. She also emphasized that the HOMS Foundation, like HOMS, is celebrating its first decade ″from which many people have been able to receive help to improve their health and many others have had the privilege of serving selflessly and with love, to honor life and give back with something, so much that has been given to us″, said Dr. Fernandez.

Afterwards, the invocation to the Almighty was made by the priest Jordi Cussó, to then give way to the opening of the catwalk that began with the presentation of cancer survivors, who marched with banners with the phrases that inspired them throughout the process to overcome this disease.

A total of 18 patients (18 ladies and 1 gentleman) filled the spectators with emotion as they made their way through the entire room, exhibiting different outfits and highlighting that they maintain their elegance, courage and integrity and the strength with which they have fought or are fighting, knowing that despite having this temporary condition they can continue to maintain their enthusiasm.

For this occasion, ″Vestidas para Triunfar″ had as special guests patients from the Voluntariado Jesús con los Niños and the Rama Femenina contra el Cáncer del Hospital Oncológico de Santiago, who paraded alongside patients from the HOMS Cancer Center. It should be noted that this activity is organized by the Foundation’s volunteers, a team of men and women who give their support in an altruistic manner and who are an essential support both emotionally and spiritually to the patients.

The event was held at the Altri Tempi facilities and was attended by managers, doctors and employees of the aforementioned medical center, as well as prominent personalities of the city and relatives of the patients who modeled.
