In order to continue strengthening the comprehensive and multidisciplinary care that Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago provides to its patients, the portfolio of services will be expanded to include cardiovascular surgeries. These highly complex operations will be led by national and international physicians, headed by Dr. Javier Cabo Salvador and Dr. Reynaldo Vargas Ortega.

HOMS has decided to increase its offer with the incorporation of the cardiovascular surgery service and other interventional cardiology techniques and procedures. This new portfolio expansion allows the hospital to treat any cardiovascular pathology through its Cardiovascular Center.

The advantage of these services, which will be available to patients as of June 1, is that they can access the specialized care they need without having to travel far from home.

In addition to Dr. Cabo, the medical staff of this team is made up of 12 other highly trained professionals for the interventions to be performed at the HOMS Cardiovascular Center.

Among the procedures to be performed are: cardiac surgery, treatment of valvulopathies, vascular surgery and angiology, revascularization of supra-aortic trunks, treatment of varicose veins, angiodysplasias, lymphatic pathology, diagnostic procedures, echocardiogram-Doppler, intraoperative and interventional echocardiogram, therapeutic procedures, hemodynamics, endovascular neurosurgery, among others.
