From April 20 to 29, the cardiovascular day was held in cooperation with the HOMS Foundation, the HOMS Cardiovascular Center, the José María Cabral y Báez Regional Hospital and the Heart to Heart Foundation.

With a group of 18 volunteers led by Dr. Robert Pascotto, director of the Heart to Heart Mission RD program, the tenth day was completed at the Cardiovascular Center, and 8 patients underwent successful surgery for aortic mitral valve replacement, totaling 111 cases performed at HOMS.

It should be noted that this program is aimed at low-income patients from our communities who are evaluated and referred by the José María Cabral y Báez Hospital.

We recognize in a special way the effort made by the local medical team that altruistically joins this work integrated by Dr. Santiago García, Cardiologist, Director of the HOMS Cardiovascular Center, Doctors Miguel Carrasco and Yrasmín Adolfo Muñoz, Surgeons, Dra. Alfa Kenia Fernández, Intensivist, Mauricio Guillén, Perfusionist, Dra. Nathania Gil, Anesthesiologist, Dra. Dinanyeli Martínez, Echocardiographer.

This is yet another example of the commitment assumed by the Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago, through its social arm, the HOMS Foundation for Human Solidarity, to bring health and wellbeing to the patients who come to it.
